About Seychelles

Seychelles is an island nation in the Indian Ocean, made up of 115 islands. Known for its white sand beaches, turquoise waters, and lush nature, it’s a top destination for travelers seeking privacy, natural beauty, and peace. The islands are home to rare wildlife, coral reefs, granite rock formations, and some of the world’s most scenic beaches. The culture blends African, European, and Asian influences, reflected in its cuisine, music, and warm hospitality. Seychelles is also a leader in eco-tourism and marine conservation, making it ideal for nature lovers.

About Praslin Island

Praslin is the second largest island in Seychelles and offers a more relaxed atmosphere than the main island of Mahé. The island is known for its quiet charm, and stunning natural surroundings. Home to the famous Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve a UNESCO World Heritage Site Praslin is where the legendary Coco de Mer palm and rare black parrots can be found. It also boasts world-class beaches such as Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette, both of which are frequently ranked among the most beautiful in the world. The Constance Lemuria Golf Course, located on the northwest coast of Praslin, adds to the island’s appeal, attracting both amateur and experienced golfers. Praslin is accessible by fast catamaran (www.catcocos.com) or a 10 minutes flight (www.airseychelles.com) from Mahé, making it easy to reach while still offering a peaceful escape.

A Brief History of Seychelles

Seychelles remained uninhabited until the 18th century, when it was first colonized by the French. Later, it came under British control before gaining independence in 1976. This colonial past has left its mark on the islands’ architecture, language, and lifestyle. Today, Seychelles is a stable, democratic country with a strong commitment to environmental protection and sustainable tourism. The official languages are English, French, and Seychellois Creole, and the local culture is a rich mix of traditions that reflect its diverse heritage.

Villa Sofia – Anse Kerlan Beachfront

Villa Sofia is a private beachfront home located on the west coast of Praslin, directly on the sands of Anse Kerlan Beach. Our private beach in front of the villa is quiet, unspoiled, and exclusively enjoyed by guests, with sun loungers set up for daytime relaxation surrounded by tropical palms, and stargazing by night.
Thanks to its western-facing location, Villa Sofia offers uninterrupted views of the horizon, making it one of the best spots on the island to experience breathtaking sunsets. Each evening, the sky transforms into a palette of gold, pink, and orange, visible directly from the beach, and gazebo to enjoy candlelight dinners admiring the Indian ocean and the sound of the waves splashing on the rocks.
Inside, Villa Sofia includes three air conditioned bedrooms, two bathrooms, a spacious living area, and a fully equipped kitchen. It is suitable for family and friend groups, offering flexibility for different types of guests. The outdoor areas are thoughtfully arranged with barbecue facilities, garden with tropical plants and golf practice fence as well as a 5 hole putting green.

The location of the villa is extraordinary: white soft sand on an almost private beach, your own coconut trees, shop 20 meters away, bus stop 10 meters. It is the perfect place to spend your vacation in Seychelles.

A dream place on a white sandy private beach!
